Today was kind of a lazy summer day recovering from jet lag. I got to spend some time outside in the lovely Texas heat and decided to whip up some lemonade.

I used some lemons, an orange, some fresh mint, sparkling mineral water, water, and sugar, adding to taste. I found the perfect ratio at about 12 ounces of mineral water, 2 cups of water, the juice of half of an orange and of four lemons, and about 3 and a half tablespoons of sugar, along with a handful of mint.

The final drink is pretty subtle- slightly sweet and slightly sour with just a little bit of fizz- but it’s super refreshing and I can’t wait to be poolside with a huge cup of it.
