I chose today’s recipe after my dad started “subtly” dropping hints that he wanted some oatmeal cookies around the house.
I started out by whipping 3/4 cup of butter for about 30 seconds.
Then, I added 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda, 1 cup of brown sugar, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, 1/2 cup of sugar, about 1/4 teaspoon of ground cloves, and a few sprinkles of salt and cinnamon.
After mixing that in, I blended in two eggs, 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla, and a dash of almond extract.
Next, I gradually added 1 and a half cups of flour. Then, I stirred in 2 cups of instant rolled oats.
Finally, I placed rounded teaspoons of dough onto cookie sheets and baked them for about 11 minutes at 375 degrees.
