I love cooking in our Crock Pot. I’m such a fan of how rich the flavors are, let alone the wonderful smells as your recipe summers away. This recipe left the whole house fragrances with cinnamon and apples. It smelled like the start of fall, even if it is still in the nineties here in Texas. 

You’ll need:

  • 12 apples- I used Golden Delicious
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 lemon
  • 2 tablespoons sugar

Start off by peeling and coring your apples. Really try to get as much peel off as possible, because it won’t cook down completely in the slow cooker. Slice into wedges. Add to the pot and sprinkle with the cinnamon and sugar. Cut your lemon and squeeze the juice of one half over the apples. Mix everything together until your slices are evenly coated. Put your slow cooker on for four hours. 

  
After four hours have passed, your apples should be soft and juicy. Using a fork, just mash everything together until you reach the consistency you want. You can use a blender if you want finer sauce, but I was happy with my results just with the fork. Serve either warm or chilled!
