I love making Fettucine Alfredo. It’s so much easier than it seems and I’ve yet to meet anyone who seems displeased with a plate of homemade Alfredo sauce. Also, it takes maybe 20 minutes from start to finish, but tastes so decadent that it seems as if you’ve spent hours working.
- One package Fettucine
- 1 cup grated Parmesan
- 1 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 5 tbsp butter
- Salt and pepper
While cooking the sauce, cook your pasta according to the directions on the package until al dente.
Start the sauce by melting the butter and cream together. Stir together over medium heat until boiling. Reduce heat and simmer for a minute. Add half of your cheese and stir in until smooth. Add salt and pepper to taste and cook for one more minute. Add your drained Fettucine to the sauce, along with the remaining cheese and toss well until evenly and completely coated. That’s it!
