Sorry for the long absence! I had an unfortunate week between a bout of the flu, and a car accident, but I’m back (and hopefully better than ever)! Today’s recipe is for all of y’all with canine companions out there- a simple and easy recipe for dog treats with ingredients you probably already have.
3 tbsp peanut butter
1/2 cup canned pumpkin
2 3/4 cup whole wheat flour
This is super easy! Just stir together the peanut butter and pumpkin first. Then, beat in each egg, one at a time. Lastly, stir in the flour 1/2 cup at a time. This should yield a stiff dough. Turn it out on a lightly floured surface and use whatever cookie cutters you want to shape your treats- I went for cute dog bones and teddy bears. Place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet and pop them in the oven for about 10 minutes at 350 degrees.
Izzy and I clearly had a great time shooting pictures for these! She couldn’t get enough of the treats and loved getting to be off-leash in the front yard with me!
