This pasta is super simple, but bursting with bright flavors of citrus and pepper. It’s a great weeknight side.
- 3/4 lb spaghetti
- 4 cloves minced garlic
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1/3 cup olive oil
- The juice of two lemons- about 1/4 to 1/3 cup
- The zest of one lemon- about 1/2 to 1 tablespoon
- 2/3 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 3/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp dried parsley
- 3/4 tbsp dried basil
While the pasta cooks, cook the garlic and red pepper in the olive oil until fragrant and golden- about 4 minutes. Add in the rest of the ingredients along with the pasta water. Add the pasta to this sauce and combine. Serve warm.
